Santorini Exploring

Just days after our Wedding, we jumped on a plane to join our friends to celebrate their big day. Destination wedding are the best, not only do you get to be a part of their day but you get to explore a new place too. After getting engaged in Mykonos (more here & here), my love affair with Greek Islands has only become more encompassing. So I was totally stoked to be headed to the beautiful island of Santorini.
We landed late on our first evening, just squeezing in enough time to have cuddles with the local kittens (Santorini has a lot of cats), be warned. Hiking is one of the best ways to explore the island, head off the beaten track and find things the tour guides don't always mentioned. The first morning we headed out to the old fortress, basically a bit of land with some very crumbly ruins... and some pretty spectacular views...

We made our way around the mountainous terrain, to find the cutest little church perched on the cliff side, hidden from view.
