Mykonos Town

A short ride on the back of a scooter (yes, I was on a scooter), we arrived at Mykonos town. The beautiful sea side town is a wonder to behold. Made up of a maze of white washed, paved walkways, the town offers an amazing range of boutique and designer shops, for anything from souvenir fridge magnets to Prada hand bags.

There was really no reason to pack anything for our holiday, as the fashion stores are brimming with Grecian white linens and amazing leather products. And once you've had enough of shopping, there's more than enough restaurants, gelato shops, and cocktail bars to keep you going well into the night.

Once you've navigated your way through the winding streets, head for the ocean and follow it along to the most beautiful part of Mykonos, Little Venice. Positioned on stilts as the far end of the town, the edge of the water is crammed full of gorgeous little bars and restaurants, with the most spectacular views across the ocean.

While sipping on iced daiquiris we took in the gorgeous sight of Little Venice bathed in the evening sun, and to the left we had a glimpse of the iconic Mykonos windmills. I can honestly say, it's the most beautiful place I've ever drank a cocktail.

After a drink or two, we made our way down the coast line, careful not to be soaked by the raging waves covering the path.

With no railings!

Just in time for the most mesmerising sunset...
