Lifestyle | Slendertoxtea - The review

At the Start of January, I posted about a new Slendertoxtea programme here. Following my obsession with TinyTea here, I wanted to try another TeaTox.

And I promised you a review, so here it is. Be it somewhat late - I hope you'll forgive me.
There's two reasons why it's taken me so long to write this review post. The first reason is I actually really didn't like the programme. Now I don't like writing negative reviews, but I promised an update and I also feel I should give you a little warning about Slendertoxtea, incase you were thinking of giving it a go.

Slendertoxtea advise starting your 14day programme on a weekend, and I couldn't agree more with this. The laxative effect of this tea is huge. It's hard to put it nicely, but I was literally dashing to the toilet every 20mins, as well as suffering terrible cramps! However, I pushed through and was loyal to the programme for a week, and even though it was terribly uncomfortable and annoying to be in the toilet every 20mins. I wanted to give it a real go. I definitely lost my bloat, which is good, and definitely lost weight. But this was in no way a healthy way to do it. Laxatives can be really dangerous, and my system was literally being stripped by this stuff - and it wasn't pleasant!

The second reason I haven't written this post soon is that I actually got really sick just after starting the Slendertoxtea programme. I'm not sure that it was completely to do with the tea, but I got really sick with flu and spent about 2 weeks in bed. I can't help but feel it lowered my immune system, which contributed to me getting sick. But it was also the flu season, so it's hard to pin the blame on the tea.

Needless to say, having flu alone was horrible enough, let alone basically drinking liquid laxatives as well. So I promptly stopped the programme. And I don't intend to start it again.

Now, I'm aware that people's tolerances are completely different, mine is obviously very low. So Slendertoxtea may work wonders for some people, but I would advise caution. Losing weight or slimming down with laxatives is never safe and never healthy. So please tread with care.

Saying that, it's probably the perfect thing if you ever get bunged up. Nice. Sorry.

However much I hate to give anything a bad review, it just wasn't what I was expecting, and I certainly wont be buying again!
