Lifestyle | Coffee date at Bottega Friulana

What to do on a rainy saturday in early January? We managed to drag ourselves from our duvet fort and brave the outdoors in search of good coffee. We headed to Notting Hill where we found ourselves wandering down Portobello road, exploring the market. Just as the rain started we hopped into Bottega Fruilana. A cute little coffee and wine bar for a coffee date.

We warmed our frosty fingers on some steaming coffee, whilst pursuing the menus. Feeling a little bit peckish - our coffee date soon turned into a lunch date. What a floosy I am :)

I opted for the cold cuts and cheese board, complete with sun dried tomatoes, my favourite. Not completely in line with my January detox (here), but I won't tell if you don't! Meanwhile my date enjoyed a very indulgent serving of what we can only describe as pan fried cheesy potatoes. But that doesn't quite describe it, as I had to contain my huge serving of food envy.

Once devoured, our plates practically licked clean, the bill arrived in the cute little tin. How adorable. I love cute touches like this that you get in independent coffee shops. We then heaved on our winter amour before venturing back into the cold.

If you're looking for a cool place for your next coffee date, I recommend trying out Bottega Friulana for a delicious cuppa.
