Irresistible Me - Royal Remy Hair Extensions

I'd never actually used hair extensions, so for me this was a whole new experience. I've been lead to believe that hair extensions were high-maintenance, damaging and totally unconvincing. We've all seen the horrors of terrible extensions, and honey, that ain't pretty.

So when Irresistible Me approached me with the promise of thick glorious, natural hair, my curiosity got the better of me. My hair isn't particularly short, but it is very thin, and lacking in body, so with the promise of thick glorious locks, I placed an order with Irresistible Me.

Date Night OOTD

My favorite night of the week has to be date night. A chance to just hang out with S, away from the chores of the house, just me and him. Date night currently consists of wedding planning and guest list debates, which is my current topic of choice of course! To see my wedding planning posts click here.

And of course, date night is an excuse to get dressed up!

Southbank - Festival of Love

Southbank festival of love London fashion

London's Southbank Festival of Love runs from Saturday 6th June - 31st August 2015, located on the Sunny Southbank in London. The festival of love is a celebration of all things summer, and certainly a celebration not to be missed.

Coral and Colbolt Hamptons Skirt from Oliver Bonas

I'm writing this sat on a train racing through the dark and miserable evening towards home to visit my parents. It's so sad that the last weeks of summer are upon us. Days of blue skies and afternoons in the park are numbered, but I intend to enjoy them all. Last weekend, we picked up our sunnies and headed to Southbank to enjoy the Festival of Love.

7 things not to do now you're engaged

Being engaged has to be one of the most exciting time of my life. The romance, the excitement, the planning and celebrations, there's just so much going on! Previously, I shared 7 things to do after you get engaged, but I thought it may be useful to share somethings I've learnt along the way too; 7 things not to do now you're engaged!

How I do quiet time

Quiet time is a very personal thing. Not everyone does their time with the Lord the same, but in the wake of my recent post, Faith and Blogging, I'm trying to be more open and transparent about my faith.

Now my quiet times are nowhere near as frequent as I would like, and not always particularly productive.  I could easily sit here and write about an idilic quiet time, and how I wish you to view my faith life. However, that would be lying. And in an effort to be completely open, this is my honest routine and thoughts on quiet times.

Coffee Date ootd

I love lazy summer days filled with pretty hair and coffee dates. Today I caught up with an old friend, and it was so great to catch up over my favourite caffeinated beverage. The sun is refusing to break through the clouds, the the temperatures are still warm enough to wear light layers and channel your casual summer vibes.

7 things to do after you get engaged

That day has finally come. The fire works have flown, the one knees' been got down on, and there's a ring on your left hand. You're engaged! If you follow my blog, or any of my social media, it will have not have escaped you that I had also recently got engaged! I'd love to extend a huge congratulations to you, if you are in the same boat as me!

Getting engaged has to be one of the most exciting moments of my life, and I imagine it's the same for most people. However, with all the excitement comes the realisation of 'oh my, I have to plan a wedding now' and '...what do we do now?' is often asked.

Never fear, I've put together my top seven things now you are engaged!

Free Hydrate planner Printables

If you follow me on Instagram, then you will have seen that I've recently become obsessed with my planner. If you don't follow me, then click here! If you are part of the blog-o-sphere you may also have noticed that everyone has suddenly gone planner CRAZY!

Basically it gives me a great justification for buying all sorts of pretty washi tape, pens and stationary. Ah it's all so cute! As well as being a great unwind at the end of the day, my planner is a great way to keep track of my daily life, comings and goings, as well as journaling at the same time.

Inika - Light reflect Highlighting Cream

Inika - Light reflect Highlighting Cream

Inika has to be one of my all time favourite brands, I fell in love with their Mineral Foundation about a year ago, and I've not used anything since! Read about it here!  I'd had my eye on the Light Reflect Highlighting cream for a while, but with all the other highlighters I own, I couldn't justify it. Good girl.

To my delight whilst repurchasing my beloved foundation, I was offered a sampled of the Inika - Light Reflect highlighting cream.

Mykonos - VIDEO

So I finally got YouTube to play ball with me and uploaded our holiday video from Mykonos! I have dabbled a bit in making videos, and I'm thinking of doing more, so if you're interested, please subscribe to my channel here.

The best Morning Yoga Videos

With a wedding on the way, I want to be looking my best and feeling my best. The endless celebrations leading up to the big day are more than enough excuse to get back into shape. I used to be a gym addict, spending all my free time sweating my bum off on the rowing machine. However, those days are far behind me and I've let my body hang a little too lose for my liking.

Faith and Blogging

Faith is a personal thing, and something that is integral to how I live, how I think, the choices I make. Which begs the question, why don't I ever mention it on my blog? I've asked myself this question a few times over the last year or so, and I've never actually confronted it.

I think it's a commonly avoided subject among bloggers and content creators. I might have hinted at it, or mentioned it in passing before in posts, but I've never sat down and confronted the reasons why I avoid it, so here I am, tapping away, trying to get to the bottom of it.

DIY Wedding Planner

The next best thing after getting engaged is all the planning. To me this means stationary. For some reason I think all women have a strange addiction to buying pretty, mostly unnecessary, stationary. However, when planning a wedding all those pretty pens and post-its are a total necessity.

The first thing on my list to purchase was a Wedding Planner. I searched for days looking for a planner which was cute, functional and affordable. My search was in vain, nothing seemed right or if it did, it cost more than the wedding itself! So I figured, why not make my own? So that's exactly what I did.

Vichy Purete Thermale

Vichy Purete Thermale

Vichy Purete Thermale range has totally ruined my love affair with Bioderma. We were doing so well, 2 years of pure devotion to the beautiful french micellar water, only to be ruined by these darling new products.

Creative Colour and Challenging your mind

The last few weeks have been crazy. Going back just 1 month, we we're in Mykonos (see our trip here), whilst in Mykonos, as your probably already know, we got ENGAGED! That in it's self is reason to be overwhelmed with excitement, and ultimately exhausting. On top of that we visited family back home in Suffolk, and welcomed friends from Australia. We have spend the last two weeks buzzing around London, a quick trip to Oxford and basically catching up with them. So it's needless to say, I'm exhausted.

Exploring Mykonos

Being such a small island, Mykonos is a great place to explore. The coast is littered with hundreds of small coves and beaches, where the hills further inland are dotted with stunning white washed buildings, and thousands of tiny traditional churches.

Mykonos Town

A short ride on the back of a scooter (yes, I was on a scooter), we arrived at Mykonos town. The beautiful sea side town is a wonder to behold. Made up of a maze of white washed, paved walkways, the town offers an amazing range of boutique and designer shops, for anything from souvenir fridge magnets to Prada hand bags.

The Proposal

Mykonos Proposal

After a day soaking up the sunshine and sand at Ornos beach we headed back to the hotel to relax before the evening. We lounged on the balcony consuming a bottle of wine and getting ourselves ready for the night ahead.

Mykonos - Corfos Hotel

Bright and early Wednesday morning we packed out bags, jumped in a taxi and headed to the airport. Leaving a beautiful English summer morning behind for 3 nights on the idillic idillic island of Mykonos Greece.

Mission Statement

oh but darling, blogger , blog ,mission

I've been running a blog now for over 4 years, and my content has been focused around sharing my indulgences in pretty lipsticks, new shoes and the occasional health kick, but after 4 years I've found it harder and harder to find any integrity in my writing.

It was like I woke up one day and was like, 'damn gurrrrl, there's more to life than lipstick'. I've found that over the last few months that the consumerism and the self seeking nature of my blog was saddening, and un-for-filling. I had the sense that I simply just had more to give.

Book Shelf | Saving Grace - Jane Green Book Review

Saving Grace - Jane Green Book Review

Following my recent book haul post, here, I've been really been moving my way thought my stack of 'to read' books. After finishing The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell, I needed an easy read. If you're a fan of David Mitchell - the writer of Cloud Atlas, you'll understand me when I say, his books are anything but relaxing. I picked up Saving Grace by Jane Green, frankly because of the gorgeous cover. Now I know that's bad, never judge a book by it's cover and all that, but It did make a good Instagram photo.

Spring has sprung here in London, and being my favourite season of the year, I couldn't be more excited. New season means new trends, new styles and new make up looks! For me Spring is all about pinks, whether it's a pinky nude or a bright pop of colour, everything is game. After much rummaging through my collection, and a couple of cheeky new purchases I've come up with my top 3 Spring 2015 Lipstick picks.

Lifestyle | How to be more present

Often we confine our lives to a screen. Always posting, tweeting and updating our online persona. We become obsessed with how many likes, how many followers and how many comments we have. We can forget, that behind the screens and software, we're all human and there's a big wide world out there. I'm more than guilty of this myself. I've been really working on this in my personal life, switching off from the cyber world and making the most of the real one.

This so much easier said than done, and I've had to really force myself to create new habits and break old ones. So I figured I'd share some of my methods with you, and remind us all that life is for living, not just for tweeting.

Lifestyle | Good Morning Smoothie

Given the choice, I'll always opt for a grab and go breakfast in the morning. Something that I can throw in my bag while I'm running out of the door. However, this does tend to lead to some bad eating habits, including the odd choccy croissant or pastry.  So I've started a new habit! Good morning smoothies!

Beauty | La Roche Posay : Athelios launch event with #Skinchecker

To celebrate the launch of their new Anthelios range , La Roche Posay hosted a press and blogger event last week at Rook and Raven Gallery, London.  With competitions, yummy cocktails and complementary manicures, the evening was a focus launch of their new #Skinchecker campaign.

I've been blogging on and off for almost 4 years now.  I've accepted that my best intentions to Blog everyday or stay consistent are more of a fantasy, but I'm working on it! Whether you Blog for fun or for funds, I think we all face the same struggles. Life is constantly battering us with responsibilities and lets just face it, we're all just busy. Which ultimately begs the questions, Why do we blog at all?

False lashes are simply too much hassle. The glue goes everywhere, and they're just so damn fiddly. Problem is I absolutely adore how they look, and how big lashes really make your eyes pop. Recently all my lash prayers were answered when a friend introduced me to an all natural alternative to those; sticky tricky lash strips.

During our Valentine's weekend away (see post here), we stopped by the famous Flatford mill, maintained by the Natural Trust. Flatford Mill in Suffolk is set on the bands of the River Stour, instantly recognizable as the focus of so many John Constable painting. We took full advantage of a bright and almost warm morning and went exploring...

Style | #ColourMeMarch off to the races...

Cheltenham Races Ladies day, March 11th 2015 is all about the colour.  #ColourMeMarch is welcoming in SS15 with a bang, celebrating all that's feminine and colourful at this years Ladies day at Cheltenham. Cheltenham ladies day is famous for it's stylish ladies, polished to perfection and balancing precariously in stilettos while sinking into the grass. In anticipation of the day's events, I put together my #ColourMeMarch outfit, fit for a day at the races.

Beauty | Rimmel: Scandal eyes

Rimmel Scandal eye shadow stick crayons have become a staple in my everyday make up routine. Pencil formed creamy eye shadows are severely over looked in my opinion, I think just about everyone has one lurking in the make up collection, and I'm here to convince you to pick up the pencil again!

This year I have the goal of reading 24 books, I recently shared my thoughts on The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton here and I'm half way through my 5th book of 2015, The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell. So to keep me inspired, I picked up my next few victims and I thought I'd share them with you...

Beauty | Liz Earle: Brightening Treatment Mask

Despite being best known for the famed Cleanse and polish hot cloth cleanser, Liz Earle was a brand that I just never got round to trying until recently. I received a free consultation voucher along with a gift set at Christmas. And my eyes were opened.

Lifestyle | Coral's Cottage

Last weekend my parents treated me and my boyfriend to a trip to the country. Just 58 miles outside of London to a beautiful converted barn. As promised in my Valentine's Weekend post, I wanted to share a few snaps of the barn and our weekend away...

Coral's Barn is a gorgeously renovated barn nestled into the countryside, on a farm just an hour outside of London. They have chickens too!

I warn you, this post is photo heavy!

Beauty | Body Jewellery Shop

Despite having Having multiple piercings in my ears, I often neglect to actually wear any jewellery. I also find it hard to actually find any nice jewellery for my inner ear piercings, without feeling really out of my depth in a hipster body mod store in Camden.

So when I received a package earpiercing jewellery from Body Jewellery shop, I was so excited to have found an online site with a heap of options for all sorts of piercings. Great! The two I chose were the large outward star ring* and the Zircon Gold caviar stud*. Both items are perfect for my ears, the litter star is so cute! They have so many awesome designs to choose from.

So if like me you struggle to find cute jewellery for your piercings, head to Body Jewellery Shop.

Lifestyle | Valentine's Weekend

I was lucky enough to share my Valentine's weekend, not only with my lovely boyfriend, but with my parents too. They whisked us away to the country side to a beautiful converted barn in the middle of a field. Just what the doctor ordered, as we spent the weekend totally off grid, drinking wine and playing board games in front of the fire.

This was perfect as recently I've really been trying to be more present and experience life more. I am that person who cannot put their phone down, and I really don't like that about myself. Instead I want to experience life's moments through my owns eyes, not through the lens of my iphone.
