Spring 2014 fashion favourites - From A Simple Melody

The sun is out and spring is definitely upon us, and I couldn't be more ready! Spring is the time to start brushing the dust of your sandals and showing some skin! Im so excited that to share today's post with the beautiful Melody from - A Simple Melody. Melody has shared her fashion and trend loves for the spring time to give you all a little inspiration:
'Hello Lovelies, It's Melody from A Simple Melody. If you would like to check out my blog, click here.'

1. Pastels - 'I am in LOVE with pastel shades. My personal favourite would be lilac, I have a TopShop lilac jumper and I wear it a lot!! I feel like you can wear pastels any time of the year but in spring I think that they make more of a come back. You can buy pastel pieces from quite a few high end and high street shops so go and grab some while you can.

2. Crop Tops - Although you can easily wear these throughout the year, I feel like in Spring they are more acceptable. In spring I like to wear these with a pair of high wasted jeans and some Vans/Converse. You could easily dress them up too. I would wear one with a high wasted skirt and some awesome heels.

3. Skater Skirts - I love skater skirts all year round. I'll wear them in the summer with some sandals  and if I want to wear them in winter, I'll just throw on a pair of tights. But in Spring time I like to wear these with a pair of super thin tights and some high top converse or Dr Martins. Then I would wear a band tee or something loose and baggy to tuck into the skirt. It's a super easy and casual outfit.

4. Bright Nails - Ok, I like bright nails all year round, but more so in the Spring/Summer. I feel like the bright colours just look amazing and they really bring colour to an outfit. My favourite brand of nail polish has to be Barry M. The colour range in amazing and for a price of £3.99 you can't go wrong.'

Melody runs a super cute blog, full of some wonderful ideas as well as beauty & fashion treats. Make sure you check her out using her links below!

Images: buyhaircaredirect Edited: ClaireRebecca

The result of years of bleaching & colouring and heat styling my hair needs constant attention. So I've recently been indulging my hair with some well deserved TLC. Whilst looking around for some product to try, I've collected a few from buyhaircaredirect and formed a little wish list.

1. Fudge - 1 shot + Treatment : $16.95 (RRP $19.95) I've heard so much about Fudge over the recent LFW, and of course I'm intrigued. So after a little investigation, I can't wait to get my mitts on this little baby. The Fudge: 1 shot + treatment is a lightweight leave in conditioner to calm and sooth dry hair leaving it replenished, repaired and revived! And I certainly could do with a bit of all of those!

2. Joico - Body Luxe Thickening Shampoo & Conditioner:  $23.20 each (RRP $25.95) Joico just can't go wrong. All of their product (That I've tried) have been fantastic. But what my thin limp hair really needs is an injection of volume and I think the Body Luxe Thickening formula will do the trick!

3. GHD - MK4 straightener : $219 (RRP $299.95) Now, I know that these GHDs aren't going to help my hair revival efforts, but I've never owned a pair! For some reason I feel that it's a beauty blogger right of passage. Right?!

4. Instant Rockstar - Dirty weekend light : $15.21 (RRP $16.95) I've been training my hair out recently, getting out of the habit of washing it everyday. So dry shampoo has been my saviour for those greasy roots, however I've been finding that Batiste is just too heavy for my thin hair. This light weight dry shampoo spray will hopefully be the answer to my prayers! Keeping my hair from looking like a hot mess on 2nd day hair!

5. Macadamia Oil - Deep repair masque : $35 (RRP $39.95) Another blogger staple that I have not tried, yet I've coveted it for SO long now! The Macadamia Oil deep repair masque is packed full of nourishing oils; macadamia, argan , tea tree, chamomile and all that good stuff to penetrate deep into the hair cuticles! Named as the best hair treatment on the market for damaged hair! How could I resist?!

Rimmel Exaggerate waterproof eye definer i- perfect plum

I love a good alternative to basic black eye liner. And i'm really loving this beautiful Rimmel Exaggerate waterproof eye definer in perfect plum! This gorgeously right and creamy liner is packed sleekly in a twist extendable eye liner tube with an added smudging sponge at one end.

What I love most is the colour, this gorgeous plumy/egg plant colour with a beautiful copper toned sheen. The exaggerate waterproof eye liner applies smoothly with a beautiful creamy texture which is easily smudged out for a beautiful autumnal smokey eye, using the handy sponge smugger. It formula also sets after a few seconds, making a sharp line last all days.

So are you getting bored of black eye liner everyday? Try reaching for this baby!
