Garnier BB cream - Miracle skin perfector - Comparison review!

When the weather is hot outside, the last thing I want is to apply a heavy foundation. So over the last few months, while I've been travelling around Thailand and living in Australia, I've been trailing the Garnier BB cream miracle skin perfectors. And I must say I'm really impressed. I've been reaching for  my BB creams everyday! I've used two of their 4 formulations and I wanted to share my thoughts on how they compare and why I'm so in love with these products.

Before I jetted off to Thailand I purchased the Garnier BB cream miracle skin perfector - Sensitive skin formula available in two shades light and medium. I normally opt for the lightest shade, but in the anticipation of a good tan I went for medium. Firstly the sensitive skin formula is a smaller squeezey tube compared to the oil free version but strangely contains more product - 50ml.
Formulated to be an all-in-one solution to most the major skin concerns we all face, including reducing redness, soothing and hydrating the skin. As well as correcting blemishes, evening skin tone and illuminating you complexion. And an added SPF 15 for all important UV protection.

The sensitive skin BB cream has a gel like formulation which blends easily on to the skin, and has a definite dewy finish. The coverage is light to medium, but is build-able on the areas where you might want more coverage. Wear time is pretty good too, but is definitely increased when set with a powder.

I also tried out the Garnier BB cream miracle skin perfector - Oil free formulation, also available in shades light and medium. I picked up the light shade this time, packaged in a thinner more sleek tube with 40ml of product. The oil free formulation is designed with ultra absorbent perlite to control oils and shine all day. This formulation also works to smooth skin texture and minimise the look of pores as well as  boasting blemish correction, hydration and SPF 15. What more do you need?! The oil free formulation is noticeably lighter, with a more liquid foundation formulation and a lovely matte finish.

This lighter formulation is so much easier to work with, requiring only a tiny bit of product to adequately cover the face, requiring no setting powder either. But that doesn't compromise the coverage, which is somewhat better than the sensitive skin formula, covering more like a foundation than a BB cream. The oil control and matte finish are amazing, this BB cream keeps my skin looking fresh and matte for ages, but is however less hydrating than the sensitive skin version.

Although I'm pretty tanned now, the lighter shade still blends well with my skin tone. I do tend to mix it with a little wash off tanner for an added boost to my skin colour.

Over all, for me the Garnier BB cream oil free formulation is a real winner. I love the lighter formula of this product, making application easy, it's so light I hardly know I've got it on! The matte finish along with the oil control technology really makes my skin look fresh all day, even in this blistering heat! Perfect!

I do find it strange that you only get 40ml with the oil free formulation, but I definitely use less product every day due to the lighter formula, so one tube lasts me well over a month! Garnier have really thought of everything with these products, both serve a purpose suiting almost every skin type and are a real winner with the added SPF 15!
